One of the main problems blind and partially sighted people have is getting out and about safely and independently.

Whether it's because there are obstacles blocking the way, poor street design, or problems with using public or community transport, blind and partially sighted people are being denied the right to independant and safe travel.

EU bus and coach directive

In 2011 we achieved new EU-wide rights for disabled people travelling on buses and coaches. From March 2013 disabled people will be entitled to accessible training for all drivers.
