Bus campaign

Bus services can be the only way to get around for blind and partially sighted people but there are serious shortfalls in the accessibility of buses. Eight out of ten respondents to a recent RNIB survey reported said they often missed the bus they want because they could not see to hail it down and over half said they struggled to get vital information like route number and destination from bus drivers.

These access barriers simply have to be fixed and we have now launched our "Stop for me Speak to me" bus campaign. It aims to secure major progress from bus operators on these crucial access issues.

Read our new Stop for me, speak to me campaign report to see why 9 in 10 people with sight loss fail to access their local bus services:

We're working at European, national and local level to push for bus services to be available to everyone
