Party Conferences

RNIB's Thinker Stand won 1st prize

RNIB works with MPs and Peers on campaign and policy issues year round. We also have a campaign stand at the Annual Party Conferences each autumn because they provide a unique opportunity for campaigning organisations like RNIB.

At Party Conferences we are able to engage not only with MPs but also with delegates, other exhibitors and the media, many of whom have a role to play in improving the lives of blind and partially sighted people. Party members and delegates are often involved in Local Government, many work in the public or private sector. This allows us the opportunity to talk on a whole range of policy issues from health and education to employment, discrimination, transport and care issues with people involved in developing, providing or financing services that blind and partially sighted people need. We have, over the years, taken a number of different issues and calls to action to the Party Conferences. We choose our campaigns and develop our stands to engage visitors and, importantly, to ensure that the messages are relevant either personally or professionally to everyone who visits our stand.

Current Stand

  • 2009 - This year we are taking a maze to the Labour and Conservative Party conferences to highlight the lack of support at the time of sight loss.

RNIB are helping people who have lost their sight find their lives again.

Right now we can only reach one in three of the people who need us. Help us reach everybody.
