Council elections 2013

Local councils make decisions about how to spend money and allocate resources on a range of matters, including social care, health care, public health, transport, street maintenance, children services, schools, green spaces and leisure. Local councillors, play an important role in shaping these decisions.

RNIB believe that when allocating resources local councillors and councils need to take into account the needs of blind and partially sighted people to ensure that they are not adversely impacted upon.

Now is the time to contact your local councillor and ask them what steps are being taken in your area to protect the services, resources, amenities and matters which are important to you.
