Fazilet Hadi, Group Director at RNIB shared RNIB's three 'Quick Wins' at a recent event with local authorities. The event, 'Coping with tough times', was hosted by our friends at the Office for Public Management with over 20 councils attending.
Fazilet talked about why it makes sense for councils to think about blind, partially sighted and other disabled people more positively, taking into account what they can contribute to their communities. She also warned councils they must still provide basic support to maximise disabled people's independence.
