We have major concerns about the fairness and effectiveness of the Work Capability Assessment (WCA). WCA is the test that is being used to assess who is eligible for Employment and Support Allowance (ESA).
The most important thing to do right now is to ask to meet your MP and tell them your experiences of the WCA or how important ESA is to you. When they have heard your story, you'll be in the perfect position to ask them to write to the Minister in charge of the WCA, Mark Hoban, on your behalf.
All you need to lobby your MP
Secure your meeting:
You can use our online form to secure your all important face-to-face meeting with your MP
Get your message across:
Remember, you don't have to be a policy expert to visit your MP. Download our briefing to find out more about the WCA and if you've been through the Work Capability Assessment, sharing your personal experience is a very powerful way to illustrate points and make sure your MP remembers you and your concerns.
At your meeting, ask your MP to raise your concerns with the minister responsible, Mark Hoban, and leave a copy of the 'WCA briefing' with them to make sure they don't forget.
