Start running
Fun runs are a brilliant way to get fit. Rather than just relying on boring gym visits, taking part in a race gives you a real goal to achieve. This means there's more motivation to go out and exercise every week.
You can train with friends, gradually building up your running stamina and fitness over the course of several months. When you cross that finishing line, and hear everybody cheering, you really do feel a great sense of achievement.

Whether you're running the race, walking it with friends or colleagues, or even in fancy dress, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the experience. Most importantly it should be fun!
