Into the Arctic Circle, sledding over 200 kilometres from our base camp into the wilds of the most northern European country of Norway: this event will prove the ultimate challenge for many participants.
The nature of our dog sledding event means that it is run with a relatively small number of participants (13 maximum) and places fill very quickly. Each participant will have his/her own sled, pulled by four to six huskies, and will be fully supported by an expedition leader, an experienced expedition doctor and a local guide.
We work alongside a number of reputable tour operators, including Across the Divide, Skyline and Classic Tours, who arrange flights, guides, transport, food and accommodation for this event. Itineraries, dates and sponsorship targets vary depending on the tour operator, so please contact us and we will find the best option for you.
The following gives you a brief taste of the adventure ahead but for more detailed information please do not hesitate to contact us.
A standard seven-day itinerary for this event is detailed below.
Itinerary for dog sledding in Norway
-
Day One: Fly to Alta via Oslo, then a briefing from the expedition leader.
-
Day Two: You will be shown how to work the sleds and introduced to the dogs.
-
Day Three: You will start the day by feeding the dogs before heading off to Maze.

What would you lose from your life if you lost your sight?
When you lose your sight you lose more than your ability to see.
Every day, almost 100 people in the UK will start to lose their sight. RNIB gives people who have lost their sight vital support to help them find their lives again. Right now RNIB can only reach one in three of the people who need our help most. Join Team RNIB and help us reach them all.
