The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is rated amongst the ten best trekking trails in the world due to its striking beauty, ancient Inca ruins and diverse ecological zones. Your adventure will take you through hidden valleys, mountain passes, along long forgotten Inca trails, and through small villages. Your trek will end when you reach Machu Picchu by passing through the Sun Gate to view this stunning sacred city.
We work alongside a number of reputable tour operators, including Across the Divide, Skyline and Classic Tours, who arrange flights, guides, transport, food and accommodation for this event. Itineraries, dates and sponsorship targets vary depending on the tour operator, so please contact us and we will find the best option for you.

A standard ten-day itinerary for this event is detailed below.
Itinerary for Inca trail

Day One: Fly to Lima.

Day Two: Fly from Lima to Cuzco, then onto the Sacred Valley and Cachicata.

Day Three: Today we have a tour of the Inca ruins at Ollantaytambo, a typical Inca town.

Day Four: Today we trek uphill, past dramatic scenery of waterfalls and ruins.

Day Five: We reach the highest point of our trek today, with spectacular views of the snow peaks and the sacred valleys below.

Day Six: We descend into the Elfin Forest, towards the Sacred Valley.

Day Seven: Today we take a steep trail up to an old Inca watchtower.

Day Eight: We then climb the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu through the Sun Gate.

Day Nine: In the morning we have a chance to see Machu Picchu at sunrise.

Day Ten: Cuzco to Lima to the UK.
Itineraries, dates and sponsorship targets will vary depending on the tour operator.
