Christmas appeal

Donate now and unlock the magic of books

Donate now - without your help, thousands of children will be denied the magic of books this Christmas.

Whether it's Beatrix Potter or Harry Potter, we've all had the chance to escape to the magical world of books. Sadly, blind and partially sighted children may never have that opportunity.

The problem is 96 per cent of books published don't make it into formats that people with sight problems can read.

Without RNIB and our Talking Books service, this is the reality facing children like Amber.

Please donate online now and ensure more children like Amber will get what they asked for this Christmas. Or you can donate by calling 0845 345 0054 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm).

Why we need your support

Talking books changed Amber's lifeAmber's story

'Since Amber discovered Talking Books she has not stopped reading and is now two levels above her reading age. It makes a huge difference for Amber to be able to read the same books as her friends. I'm so pleased to have a book worm for a daughter'.

Santa's letter to Amber

'Dear Amber, I know that you really wanted the very latest book for Christmas, just like all your friends, but I'm very sorry to have to tell you that I can't give you the one you asked for. Love Santa'

Talking books provide so much pleasureWhat are Talking Books?

Amber might have to live with partial sight, but she doesn't have to live without the magic of books as well. More about Talking Books and why we need your help.
