Thank you

We'd like to say a huge thank you to all of our fundraisers and volunteers. Your support makes a real difference to the lives of blind and partially sighted people.

I would walk 500 miles…

The beautiful city of Edinburgh was the scene for last year's Great Scottish Walk. Our team of 20 walkers got together, sporting the black rimmed specs made famous by Scottish singing duo The Proclaimers, to raise public awareness and funds for RNIB.

14-year-old Natasha Stevens, who has a visual impairment, had the biggest smile of the day when she completed the 12-mile course in four hours.

Big Harted Bikers

The plan? 25 Bikers, two days, six race tracks and biking over 600 miles in 48 hours! The Big Harted Bikers decided they were going to raise money for RNIB.

Generating support wherever they went, they roared through Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Derby, Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Kent. Despite the wind and the rain, our Big Harted Bikers raised a vrooming marvellous £6,800.

M6 tolls £20k for RNIB

Displays of motorcycles, vintage cars and family fun were features of the Drive for Charity Day in May, when for the first time, the M6 toll road chose RNIB as one of their nominated charities. More than £20,000 was raised.

This generous donation enables us to work with a range of agencies across the West Midlands to ensure that blind and partially sighted people have access to high quality mobility training and greater access to public transport.

Inner Wheel bring back the joy of reading

Joanna Trollope came to Blackpool to collect a cheque as part of a fantastic £50,000 donation to the RNIB Talking Book Service. Thanks to the wonderful, ongoing support from The Association of Inner Wheel, this money will help us to continue bringing back the joy of reading to thousands of blind and partially sighted people.

Every day almost 100 people in the UK will start to lose their sight. Right now RNIB can only reach one in three of the people who need our help most. Join our community of fundraisers and help us reach them all.
