Checklist for holding a Dotty Day

Choose a date.

Register online, email us at fundraising@rnib.org.uk or give us a call on 0845 345 0054 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) to let us know you are getting involved.

Download all your dotty day materials or ask us to post them to you.

Tell everyone about your Dotty Day, including teachers, pupils and parents. You'll find a letter to parents and posters in your Dotty Day pack.

Hold your Dotty Day and collect donations (refer to donations and banking section).

Award certificates to everyone that took part and special prize certificates for originality and effort.

Encourage pupils to use the braille they have learnt.

Donations and banking
We hope the suggested donation of £2 is an affordable amount for participating in a Dotty Day.
However, individual schools should consider whether this is an appropriate amount for their pupils and are entitled to change the donation amount in any promotional materials or letters. No child should be left out due to inability to pay; the letter to parents makes this clear.
