A huge congratulations to each and every runner in our 2012 Virgin London Marathon team, we really appreciate all the hard work you put into your training and fundraising!
Our team of 133 runners did us proud, and we really enjoyed cheering you on and meeting some of you at our reception.
A massive thank you for the time and energy put behind fundraising too! Please do pass on our thanks to all those who supported you including employers, colleagues, local community, friends and family!

Archie's story
"I'd set my target to complete the five World Major Marathons to raise vital funds for Royal National Institute of Blind People. The biggest part of the challenge has been to complete the Boston Marathon and London Marathon within seven days!
Two marathons in a week either side of the Atlantic, sore (very sore) legs, jet lag, and basically one hell of a challenge for somebody who's most definitely old enough to know better.
But the uphill climbs don't end there. Through doing all my marathon runs I aimed - and succeeded - to raise £10,000 in sponsorship for RNIB.
Hitting the £10,000 target meant so much more to me and the people supported by RNIB than my finishing times or whether I was still able to walk in a straight line after the five marathons!
Just how precious and wonderful our eyes are has been brought home to me again last summer as my son Archie Junior underwent a Gene Therapy operation at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London in an attempt to prevent further degeneration of his sight as a result of the Retinal Pigmentosa condition he lives with.
The results of this pioneering treatment will take years to make themselves fully known, but being at Moorfields was one sobering reminder of what is taken away from you if you can't see properly - and what tremendous work organisations like RNIB do for people who are not as lucky as most of us. They were great to Archie over his school years and I'd really like to help them in any way I can."

Not ready to take on a full marathon yet? Why not try the Bupa London 10,000 run 2012? Set in London, much of the course will be the same as the route used for the men's and women's Olympic marathon courses this year! This is a great opportunity to live the Olympic dream but over a shorter distance.
