Oldbury and Cruickshank Opticians in Macclesfield have supported RNIB for three years now, raising over £6,000 to date. Their third annual Blindfold Bowl took place on 9 October 2009 - with 12 teams, made up of 72 people.
Teams from Boots Opticians, Silk FM, Specsavers, NHS Eye Hospital, patients from Oldbury and Cruickshank and of course Oldbury and Cruickshank staff themselves battled it out on the night. The Oldbury and Cruickshank employees took the winning team trophy for 2009 and are looking forwards to defending their crown in 2010!
Brave fundraising
Oldbury and Cruickshank have also braved the elements with a sponsored 8 mile walk around Teggs Nose on a cold and rainy Sunday morning and Jean, the practice owner, has jumped out of an aeroplane in support of RNIB. We'd like to say a big thank you for all of their support over the past three years.
