Congratulations to our Bupa Great North Run team!

A huge thank you to all our Great North Run participants

It was the 30th Bupa Great North Run on Sunday 19 September, and we want to say a huge thank you to all of our runners.

Over 54,000 runners took part in the Bupa Great North Run, the biggest half marathon in the world. RNIB had a team of over 120 dedicated runners who have been fundraising and training hard over the past year in preparation for this 13.1 mile race.

Our fantastic fundraisers

We had participants from all over the country, including the McCandless team from Ireland, who have already raised nearly £2,500. Our team is set to raise over £30,000 this year, which is a tremendous amount, and will make a significant difference to the lives of blind and partially sighted people.

If a half marathon isn't for you, please check out our other 2011 race listings or get in touch with our fundraising team, who would be very happy to help you find a race:

We look forward to welcoming you onto Team RNIB!
