We're World Record breakers!

Take part in a reading relay for RNIB

On Thursday 13 October 317 people helped us to break the Reading Relay World Record at Waterstone's flagship Piccadilly store in London. What a day! Watch our Guinness World Record video.

Record smashed!

To celebrate our first Read for RNIB Day we teamed up with with Waterstone's and Walker books to break the record that was until now held in Vienna, Austria. We needed more than 290 people to smash the record and claim our victory, so the pressure was on.

A huge thank you to the 317 people who read their line and helped us make history. Wear your medals with pride!

The book that was chosen for the attempt is an exclusive, never published Anthony Horowitz novel, called "The Double Eagle has Landed". The book was available in giant print, braille and standard print on the day.

Didn't make it?

We tweeted from the event and provided status updates for people who couldn't make it. Follow us on Twitter or subscribe to our Read for RNIB Day Facebook page.
