Make a child smile this Christmas

Make a child like Haillo smile this Christmas

"When I visited Rushton the people were very welcoming and it just felt genuine. You develop a strong sense of instinct when you're a carer and I just knew Rushton was right for Haillo"

Zanobia, mother of 13 year old Haillo.

For more than 50 years RNIB Rushton School and Children's Home has been offering specialist education, residential care, therapies and healthcare for young people with complex needs and sight loss.

What's on their Christmas list?

You can "Make a Child Smile this Christmas" and help other young people like Anna, Tom, Lawrence and Haillo enjoy a trip to the theatre, or take part in a music lesson. Find out what else is on our children's Christmas list.

Why is Rushton special?

Lisa is Assistant Head of Care at the children's home at Rushton. Part of her job is organising activities for the children throughout the year and making sure the young people get an annual holiday. Hear from her about one of her first memories of being at Rushton.

What makes you smile at Christmas?

Every Thursday, we'll be asking what makes you smile at Christmas as part of the Rushton Christmas Appeal. Tweet RNIB with your thoughts or comment on our RNIB Facebook page. So spread the word or donate to our Rushton Christmas appeal. Thank you for helping to make a child smile.
