Our partnership with Pears Foundation

RNIB is now working in partnership with the Pears Foundation

RNIB is delighted to announce our partnership with Pears Foundation.

Pears Foundation is investing £1.1million in one of RNIB's most ambitious projects ever - the redevelopment of RNIB Pears Centre for Specialist Learning (formerly Rushton School and Children's Home)

What will redevelopment mean?

The redevelopment will create brand new facilities where our young people with complex needs and sight loss will benefit from our excellent standard of care and education.

A big thank you to our supporters

We are grateful to our many supporters who have helped us reach this stage of the development, as the children and young people prepare to move into their new homes and specially designed school early next year.

Wanda Hamilton, Group Director of Fundraising said: "We are delighted to be working with Pears Foundation to help us develop this centre of excellence and create an environment in which our children and young people can reach their full potential for learning, independence and fulfilment in everyday life."

We still need more help

We urgently need further funding to help us complete the facilities. Please consider what contribution you could make towards improving the quality of life and education for the children and young people who live and learn here - all donations are welcome and there are more naming opportunities available that we would be happy to discuss.
