This is a unique opportunity to hear renowned authors Ruth Rendell and PD James talk about their lives in an intimate setting with a chance to ask them questions and purchase signed books.
From her award-winning Inspector Wexford series to novels written under her pseudonym Barbara Vine, Baroness Rendell will be sharing some of the highlights from her brilliant career and discussing her latest Inspector Wexford novel, The Vault.
Rendell will be joined by crime writer PD James OBE, most famous for her series of detective novels starring policeman and poet Adam Dalgliesh. Both James and Rendell will talk about their literary success, the trials and tribulations of producing best selling novels whilst raising a family and the pros and cons of having work turned into TV adaptations, before opening the floor to questions.
All this is accompanied by canapés and a glass of bubbly in the Ivy's exclusive Private Dining Room, followed by tea and coffee. Please note that there are a limited number of places available.
