Virgin London Marathon ballot places open this week!

Ballot place rejected? we still have Virgin London Marathon 2011 places at RNIB!

The wait is nearly over and this week everyone who applied for a 2011 Virgin London Marathon will receive their "accepted" or "rejected" magazine through the post.

I have been accepted - what do I do?

If you are an RNIB guaranteed entry runner but you find you have been successful in the ballot, please contact us immediately and we will refund your registration fee. You can still run with Team RNIB, but if you use your ballot entry, we will not ask you to reach a fundraising target.

  • email us at fundraising@rnib.org.uk
  • call us on 0845 345 0054 (open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, or voicemail service out of hours).

I have been rejected - what do I do?

If you get a "rejected" magazine, you could still run with Team RNIB by completing our Virgin London Marathon 2011 application form . All applications are subject to a selection process, but even if we cannot offer you a place immediately, we will add you to our reserve runner list and contact you if a place becomes available.

Looking for a warm up race?

The adidas Silverstone Half Marathon 2011 is a really popular warm up race for the Virgin London Marathon. Set up by the London Marathon organisers, this is a fast flat race, and a great way to prepare for the marathon.

Perhaps all this talk of marathons and half marathons is not what you are looking for. We have a whole range of events, from fun runs to triathlons and parachute jumps to overseas treks.
