Bring a Phone to Work Day

Recycle your old mobile phone for RNIB

We're asking UK companies to help raise funds for RNIB by taking part in the National Bring a Phone to Work Day on 27 January 2011 which encourages employees to recycle their old mobile phones.

It's really simple to join in

All you need to do is visit the Recycling Appeal website to download a poster to display in your office or call 0845 130 2010 to register that your company is taking part.

Why your business should sign up

In the UK alone it is estimated that around 90 million unused mobile phones end up abandoned in drawers and cupboards.

  • Every year 1,500 tonnes of mobile handsets containing hazardous substances such as cadmium, lead and beryllium are dumped in landfills.
  • Bring a Phone to Work Day helps you demonstrate social responsibility.
  • Most importantly, it won't cost you a penny!

Impact of RNIB's work

Every day, 100 people in the UK will start to lose their sight. RNIB are helping people who have lost their sight find their life again. But right now we can only reach one in three of the people who need us.

By donating your money you help provide vital services for blind and partially sighted people. You can help us reach everybody. How your money helps.
