Every day, almost 100 people in the UK will start to lose their sight. RNIB gives people who have lost their sight vital support to help them find their lives again.
Legacies account for approximately a third of our total income. Without them, we would not be able to provide these vital services.
An up-to-date Will ensures those you love will be taken care of. Including a legacy to RNIB in your Will means you can also extend your support to help people with sight problems for years to come.

"I couldn't do without my talking books, especially at night. It would be dreadful without them, so lonely. Thankfully I am never left without a book, they are my lifeline."

Emotional support
"Talking every week was really important and helped me more than anything else. This has made so much difference to my life. My sight isn't any better than it was, but the time of being depressed has gone. Now I enjoy my days and my garden, and look forward to the future."

RNIB Helpline
"When my daughter lost her sight I was terrified. I always kept it together when around her, but inside I was an emotional mess. Thankfully I called the RNIB Helpline. They listened to me and then gradually eased my fears for the future. I wouldn't like to think how I'd have coped without it."
Marie

Transcription service
"Tiri is really interested in music and one of our biggest problems is getting printed music big enough for her to see. RNIB makes the music bigger for her so that she can enjoy playing her piano, violin and flute."

Stopping people losing their sight unnecessarily
Campaigns
RNIB Campaigns fight to make a real difference to the equality and rights of blind and partially sighted people. For example, RNIB helped Jean to receive the sight loss treatment she needed from her Primary Care Trust.
"I can't express how relieved and happy I am. I want to thank RNIB, the lawyers and my ophthalmologist for everything they've done. I'm so pleased for everyone else in a similar situation - now we won't have to lose our sight."
Jean
