You are invited to come and join us at magnificent venues across the UK to hear more about the vital work we do to help blind and partially sighted people find their lives again.
Our receptions are important days that bring RNIB and its supporters together. They give us the opportunity to meet and thank our supporters and service users and help them gain a broader understanding of the work we do.

Listen to our supporters
We spoke to some of our supporters about how they enjoyed their time at a reception in Ashton Court Mansion, Bristol.
"I've learnt a lot, I feel quite inspired."

Thoughts from RNIB supporters
Dr. and Mrs Gallagher, who attended a reception in Manchester:
"I enjoy receiving Talking Books and have always been thankful for RNIB, but our lives have been transformed because of the information we were given at the reception. We are now receiving attendance allowance, which allows us to enjoy our leisure time more. We are getting so much pleasure from audio description and also now enjoy regular audio-described trips to the theatre, which my wife and I can now both fully enjoy together."
Feedback from a supporter reception at Hatfield House, Hertfordshire:
"The weather was fine. The house and grounds were beautiful. The lecturers were articulate, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The staff were attentive and helpful, an inspiring and refreshing change. Congratulations for producing such a well thought-out morning."
Extract from a letter received from a reception attendee:
"My husband and I attended the RNIB reception yesterday and would like to say thank you for a very informative morning and a delightful lunch. It was good to hear just how Talking Books are made. My husband is devoted to them and now we know how you manage to get them back to him so quickly. We will certainly now be using Audio Description on our DVDs, which we were not aware of before. All in all a very informative day, thank you for inviting us. We are considering leaving a legacy as we really appreciate all the help RNIB has given my husband since his sight loss."
