"I should never have switched from Scotch to Martinis"
Humphrey Bogart
These were believed to be Humphrey Bogart's last words, but it was his wife, Lauren Bacall, whose words said the final goodbye.
In his urn she placed a small gold whistle inscribed "If you need anything, just whistle", the immortal line she delivered to Bogart in "To Have and Have Not", their first film together.
We all have our own way of saying goodbye, but if we all did it by leaving a gift to charity as well as our family in our Wills, we could make a huge difference. Otherwise, most charities will struggle to survive and that's one farewell the world can do without.
Make your last wishes something to remember.
