Legacy professionals

Join the Directory of Will Writing Services

Legacy income is vital to the continuation of RNIB's work and many of our supporters come to us for information about leaving a legacy to RNIB in their Will. We always advise that they visit a solicitor.

Directory of Will Writing Services

We have set up a Directory of solicitors throughout the UK who have agreed to support RNIB by offering to write simple Wills at favourable fees.

The Directory is exclusively for the benefit of RNIB supporters and service users.

If your firm is registered in the Directory, we can refer local clients to you. There is no charge for joining the Directory. All we ask is that you agree to charge clients who come to you through the Directory a favourable rate agreed with us in advance for single and mirror Wills. These fees only apply to simple, uncomplicated Wills.

Why you should join the Directory

There are around two million people in the UK with a sight problem.

  • Ninety per cent of the two million people with sight problems are aged over 60.
  • The number of people affected by sight loss is set to rise as the population ages dramatically.
  • There are people living with sight loss in your community.

If you want to help blind and partially sighted people, and at the same time, help yourself by increasing your knowledge and client base, then join the RNIB Directory of Will Writing Services today.

Solicitors' guide to Will making for blind and partially sighted people

Our Solicitors' Guide to Will making for blind and partially sighted people contains practical advice on what you, as a professional advisor, can do to make life easier for blind and partially sighted clients.

By following the points in our guide, you will be able to further demonstrate your commitment to clients. It will also help you to adhere to the legal requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act Part three regarding providing information in alternative formats.
