Mr Schofield realised the importance of making a Will when his father died suddenly a couple of years ago.
"He died so quickly he didn't get the chance to make a Will and this made me realise the importance of ensuring my family and loved ones would be cared for if anything should happen to me."
Importance of making a Will
"I decided to include a Legacy to RNIB in my Will because they have made my life much easier than it could have been.
"My sight problems started when I was very young with measles, then I got myopia, a detached retina, and later cataracts. I have now developed glaucoma and am left with only a little vision in my left eye.
"My granddad was also blind, so we have always relied on RNIB to help us out when we needed them. We have used many of the products and services they provide to make our lives easier.
"Having written my Will, I know my family will be cared for whatever happens. I feel that by including a Legacy to RNIB, I can play a part in helping them to give other people with sight problems the support that I have received for many more years to come."
