A message from the Chief Executive
My name is Lesley-Anne Alexander and I'm the Chief Executive here at RNIB. I know that kind supporters like you help us provide vital services, but we are now facing a huge challenge. Figures tell us that around two million people in the UK are currently dealing with sight loss, and that every 15 minutes it will start to happen to someone else.
A special request from our Chief Executive
Right now RNIB can only reach one in three of the people who need our help. That is why I'm appealing to you with a special request. Please help us to be there to support all these people. It won't cost you a penny now, I'm simply asking you to remember RNIB in your Will.
It is simple to put a charity in your Will
If you haven't already done so, putting a charity in your Will is very straightforward and need not cost a lot of money. It is a simple gesture that can make a difference so great it will last a lifetime. You may not realise it, but even a small percentage share of what you have left once family and friends have been provided for could make all the difference to people's lives years from now.
The difference legacies make to RNIB
Without the legacies people leave to us in their Wills, we would face a shortfall every year. And if we suffer, then so do the vital services we run for blind and partially sighted people in the UK. What will we tell the people who will need us 10 or 20 years from now? Will the day come when we have to tell them we cannot help? I know you don't want that to happen any more than I do. So please, if you haven't already, do give some thought to providing for RNIB in your Will, and help us to be there for people in the future.
Please let us know if you have left a legacy
Knowing you have left a legacy to RNIB in your Will, or intend to do so, will give us the opportunity to thank you properly and keep you informed about how legacies in Wills are helping us to continue our vital work. There are several ways to contact us:
Thank you,
Lesley-Anne Alexander
Chief Executive, RNIB.
