Vision magazine

Vision is our award-winning, bi-monthly magazine that's available exclusively for RNIB Members

Delivered to your door every other month, Vision brings you the latest news and products, as well as information on special offers and competitions. We've also got a technology column, audio book reviews and seasonal recipes, with hints and tips from our blind and partially sighted columnists.

Vision also gives you the opportunity to share your experiences of living with sight loss through the member letters section and feature interviews.

Formats available

Vision magazine is available in large print, braille, audio CD, DAISY CD and by email. The audio versions are produced as a radio-style programme with presenters and on-location interviews.

Latest issue

In April/May Vision magazine, TV presenter and author, Judy Finnigan, talks about her battle with sight loss. Highlights include:

  • Judy Finnigan says losing her sight is one of her biggest fears, after having four eye operations recently. She also talks about how difficult it was to write her first novel, "Eloise", inspired by the death of close friend, Caron Keating.
  • Arlene Phillips, TV personality and choreographer, fronts RNIB's Spot the signs campaign to help prevent avoidable sight loss. You can help by putting a poster up in your window, community centre, church hall, pharmacy, GP surgery or library.
  • Can blind people enjoy ballet? Vision joins a group of blind and partially sighted people for a touch tour and an audio described performance of Sleeping Beauty at Sadlers Wells in London.
  • Windows Phone 8: how accessible is it for blind and partially sighted people? Our partially sighted expert, Robin Spinks, tests the new features.
  • Children and Families Bill: will it lead to even more postcode lottery in the provision of services for blind and partially sighted children and their families?
  • Winners of the annual members' writing competition: childhood memoirs, a personal story of care in the community and a ghostly Cornwall myth. Why not join as an RNIB Member now so that you can enter the next competition?
