I have been using the new iPad for the last couple of days, here is a short review from someone who is registered blind.
The new hi resolution screen means that when zooming the screen to read text on a web site, everything stays sharp and in focus.
Voice dictation for email and web search works well evan understanding my strong Yorkshire accent.
The camera takes clear sharp images that stay in focus when zoomed on the screen. Perfect for reading small print cooking instructions on the back of packs of food.
If anyone want anymore information post a question and I will try and reply.

Hello Andy, I'm really interested to see that you have purchased an iPad as we would like to get my father one for Christmas, he misses reading the paper and doing suduko puzzles and crosswords. I'm also thinking he might enjoy music and audio books. I have no experience of an iPad as we have a normal tablet but I understand that the Apple products do have useful voice activation tools. I'm interested to know how you decided on which model to choose? We want to pitch it right so that we buy something with enough features but it has to be easy to use and not over spec'd. Gill
Thanks for this post as I am new to the Ipad but having used my friends Ipad 1 I now really want to get the ipad 3 as it a lot more convenient than using a laptop.
One question, I use the Zoom feature and if I was writing a document on the ipad, would it automatically scroll across to reveal what you are typing as you type it (like other magnification software does on Windows)? Reason being, I have used the zoom feature on an Apple Mac book Pro before but have to manually move with the cursor to reveal what I am typing which can be very annoying as you lose the flow.
If you are able to help that would be great. Thanks
