Navigation app for iPhone?

Hello,
I have an iPhone 4 and am compleatly blind. I've been looking for an app for my iPhone that i could use for pedestrian navigation when trying to get to places. I prefer an app because it's 1 less thing to carry around. Most people say navigon is the best, but i'm not really sure about buying it because it's very expensive, last time I looked it was at £60! I just want a nice simple app that has voice guidance in pedestrian mode. Can anyone help please?
Thanks very much.

Thanks for the help everyone. I'm using an app that is good enough for now, but I'm getting an iPhone 5 for Christmas which will have voice guidance built into iOS 6, so hopefully that works.

Sorry, Steve here again,
Applevis has tags for apps (latest tested by members, blind and VI), a forum, an area for podcasts to help you and best of all an apps deals section, where apps are shown that have dropped in price or are free). Last month Navigon dropped to £49, 99.

Steve.

Dear Both,
I am blind to and use an I phone 4s. Try www.applevis.com for lots of useful apps. Don't get Navigon yet, wait for IOS 6 to come out (perhaps next week), Apple suggest there will be a street by street navigator on I maps. Also try Blind square, Ariadni GPS (the Greek godess) and Where to but no street by street apps for UK apart from Navigon.

Kind regards,

Steve.
