DOES ANYONE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH LIGHT ENTERING EYES AS I HAVE I AM REGISTERED PARTIALLY SIGHTED, BLIND IN LEFT EYE. I WEAR GLASSES, NEED SUN GLASSES WITH THICK SIDES BUT LIGHT ALSO ENTERS THROUGH TOP OF MY SUNGLASSES AND SPOILS THE VISION I DO HAVE. I HAVE A SMALL PIECE OF PLASTIC TAPE ACROSS THE TOP OF MY SPEC. FRAME, WHICH HELPS A LITTLE. IF I SHIELD MY EYE WITH MY HAND I CAN COPE BETTER, BUT THIS IS NOT IDEAL OUTDOORS. DO NOT WANT TO WEAR A CAP WITH BRIM. ANYONE ANY OTHER IDEAS PLEASE. I GO TO MSNCHESTER EYE HOSPITAL FOR CHECK UPS.

THANKS BOROBOY, WRAP AROUND PRESCRIPTION SUN GLASSES ARE NOT AVAILABLE BECAUSE OF MY STRONG LENSE NEED (SHORT SIGHTED) HAVE TRIED SAME TYPE SUNGLASSES OVER MY NORMAL GLASSES, TOO BULKY ETC.HOWEVER I DO NOT HAVE PAIN AT ALL IN MY EYES. I CONSIDER MYSELF LUCKY AT THAT. WILL TRY YHOUR OTHER SUGGESTIONS THOUGH THANKS AGAIN ANNE

Have you tried wrap around sunglasses? I use cat 4's inside & out. Due to my continuing photophobia issue. Glacier sunglasses will cut even more light out, as they also have inserts fitted around the rims. Have a look on Fleabay.

i also have the same problem i cant stand any normal daylight outside and where sunglasses in all weather all year round and can not stand any light in doors either so have to wear them most of the day in doors my optician does not seem to want to get me any help or suggest where i can go for help my eyes burn with any contact of light where ever i go if i have to take them off my eyes blink all the time to try and block out the light and they water as well my optician says i have dry eyes but i dont think so as they over water i think from one eye more if any one has any ideas of what might be wrong with my eyes id be glad of any advice thanks

HI, I HAVE XTREME PHOTOPHOBIA AND AM MOSTLY HOUSEBOUND BY IT AND THE RESULTANT PAIN. I USE WELDING GLASSES FROM MACHINE MART. THEY ARE CHEAP AND AT LEVEL 5 THE DARKEST YOU CAN GET. I ALSO USE SPEAM PUNK GOGGLES FROM EBAY WHICH YOU CAN GET DIFFERENT SHADE LENS FOR AND CHANGE THE LENSES EASILY. I DO HAVE TO WEAR A BRIMMED HAT SO HAVE GONE FOR A STETSON TYPE RATHER THAN A PEAKED CAP. HOPE THAT HELPS. ASK ABOUT FALSE PUPIL CONTACT LENSES AS WELL.
