Hi, my daughter had a left eye squint surgery when she was 2 years old, she was discharged from hospital care (a visit once a month) when she was 8 years old, she is now almost 18. She noticed recently that her left eye was not focusing on the camera when her picture was taken so we went to our opticians, this week, who said that her eyes had deteriotated by 5 points? in 2 years and the reason that her left eye was 'wandering' when her photo being taken was because of the flashing light. It was explained to us that flashing lights cause a weak eye to 'shut down'? My daughter has been prescribed stronger glasses which I have been told should sort the problem out...get her weaker eye strong again...but my concern is that she works in a photo studio three full days a week and sometimes in a studio on college days as well...flashing lights are constant when she is in this environment. Will this harm her weak eye? I did ask our optician but unfortunately did not seem to understand our concern and didn't really give us a clear reply....if anyone can advise I would be most grateful...thank you.
