Hi, im hoping someone may be able to help or give a little advice, I hae M.S and lost the sight in my right eye 3 years ago, its come back to a very wobbly haze of washed out colours but thats all, they finally found the damage right behind my eye on my optic nerve, i have been having the same symptoms in my left eye for 2 years, wiggly silver lines around the edge of my vision, if I look at starts in the sky they dissapear and if I look slightly to the side they come back, I no longer drive at night as I cant tell the difference between the verges and the road, but worse of all is the shadows I get after looking at something bright or sometimes dark objects will leave a shadow for minutes at a time, today I met a friend out on her horse, she had a bright yellow flash jacket on and i was just looking at her face and chatting for a few minutes but when i looked away everything went pink for 2-3 minutes!!.. i have been for test after test , my neuro and the ophthalmology think im lying im sure, they cant find anything, i feel like ive already accepted i will lose the sight in that eye eventually but feel so upset that they dont believe me.can you suggest anything it may be other than the start of my nerves just incase there is something that can be done. cheers

Good morning Pheonix. I don't know if I can offer any advice as such other than to keep on at your ophthalmologist until he believes you. Sometimes you have to be a bit bitchy if you'll excuse the language. However I do know how you feel. I remember as a child if I looked at the sun everything for a while after looked green. Even the sun itself sometimes. I've never been able to see too well and I appreciate the psychological problems losing your sight can create. That comes from a level of understanding I've developed over the years. Anyway I know this message hasn't been very helpful but I'd like to wish you luck and hope you don't lose all your sight.
