I'm very interested in having a go at writing my own music but I'm not sure which software is going to work best with my jaws, does anybody know of one which works best with jaws? I downloaded a trial of masterwriter but jaws didn't seem to read out anything at all on the page. Also if anybody has got any helpful tips for a novice song writer like me could they contact me through my webpals notice. My user name is Suey

hi Suey,
Personally, I use the lime aloud software. It comes with 3 programmes: Lime, Goodfeel and Sharpeye. You can scan, emboss and write music with this. I have also heard that Sibelius works with JAWS, I might try that.
Your Sonar problem, Contact Dancing Dots at www.dancingdots.com
Hope that helps!

Does anyone know of a JAWS-compatible DAW which would allow me to slice and sequence audio samples? I used to use Fruityloops but shortly after rebranding to "FLstudio," (around version 6) Image Line changed their menu system to a 100% Graphical User Interface (GUI) which is utterly screenreader inaccessible. I have contacted the manufacturers of Ableton, Reason, Acid and other widely used music production applications and, without exception, they've had to concede that their products are utterly inaccessible. I contacted Cakewalk and the dancingdots folks about the suitability of Sonar to act like an Akai MPC but there was a lot of umming and ahhing. Please help! I've got GBs of breaks and great samples and no way to chop 'em and sequence 'em.

Hi, I am Paolo, an Italian blind DJ and musician.
I am having the same problem like you, in the use of Jaws with some audio music software.
Long time ago, I wrote an email to Freedom Scientific and they suggested me to buy Cakewalk for Sonar. You can click http://www.cakewalk.com/ and have a look on it! Moreover go on http://www.jsonar.org/, where you can download the scripts for Jaws, compatible with your Sonar Version.

This is all that I know, but till now I never had any occasion to use it.

Does anybody know where is possible trying and buying Cakewalk or some others similars softwares?

Thank you, and I am sorry if I made some english mistakes!!!

Ciao!

Hello Suey. Sonar is best if you think in via the sounds of the music. I use Braille music and copy it out in Sibelius which Jaws reads quite fluently. You can also use Sibelius with a midi keyboard and play the music as you would in Sonar. I use Jaws9 by the way. I hope this is of some help to you,
ll the best
