Hello all, does anyone know the easiest way to start the ball rolling to see if I'm elgible to be registered as partially sighted? Never tried before so not really sure where to start, any advice/tips gratefully received! Vicky

I would reccomend calling the RNIB helpline. Surprisingly, some consultants are unwilling to register people and RNIB may be able to advise you.

There's plenty of good info on this elsewhere on the RNIB site.
In a nutshell, see an Ophthalmologist and get a CVI (Certificate of Visual Impairment). This gets copied to your local authority. Then you wait for social services to get in touch. Good luck with that last bit!
