The Scottish Office of Life Technologies - a global biotechnological company kindly donated their time and held a fantastic Reading Relay for Read for RNIB Day.
Here are some thoughts from employees on the day:
"The chance to take part in the RNIB Day at work was an opportunity I wasn't going to pass on. My grandmother was partially sighted in her last years and the 'books' she received through RNIB were a godsend for her as she had been an avid reader throughout her life. I enjoyed the reading sessions so much that I volunteered to do more with RNIB and have just passed my test reading with them - so this has led to a rewarding extracurricular activity that I had not really considered before. Highly recommended."
"Just wanted to say thank you to RNIB for allowing us to take part in the Readathon. It was a great feeling to give something back and know you were making a real difference to someone. Very much looking forward to doing this again next year."
