Choose your event

Mad Hatter's Sensory Tea Party

Why not hold a Mad Hatter's Sensory Tea Party for Read for RNIB Day? A fun fundraising idea for your nursery, school, company, or local activity group.

Book Sale

Hold a book sale at home, work or in your local community to raise money for Read for RNIB Day. Alternatively, try a book swap in the office for an easy work fundraising idea! Everything you need is in your free Read for RNIB Day fundraising pack.

Reading Relay

Challenge your whole work team or class to play their part in a reading marathon, with everyone reading in turn. Get sponsored by the page or by the chapter - and to test your teamwork, see if you can keep it going right to the end of the book.

Literary Lunch

Combine fine words and fine wine by creating a special menu on a literary theme for a memorable lunch or supper. A fantastic fundraising idea for your local Rotary or Women's Institute group.

Come-as-a-Character

Charge a donation to come to work or school dressed as a favourite book character (or just to dress down). Come-as-a-Character to raise money for Read for RNIB Day.

Story Sleepover

How about a daytime Story Sleepover at your school or nursery? Just bring a book and a sleeping bag. A great way for young readers to join in with Read for RNIB Day, by getting friends and family to sponsor them for the sleepover.

Extreme Reading Challenge

Take on an Extreme Reading Challenge for Read for RNIB Day. Challenge yourself to read a book in an unusual place - the highest, or the lowest or somewhere really out of the ordinary. One of seven fantastic fundraising event ideas.
