Schools

Your school could have fun fundraising for RNIB

When Alice ventured down the rabbit hole into Wonderland, she discovered a world full of imagination and delight. Read for RNIB Day wants to inspire children in a similar way by encouraging them to read and share their love of books through fun events.

Why not make your school part of Read for RNIB Day next October by holding a fun event such as a Mad Hatter's Sensory Tea Party, a Reading Relay or perhaps a Come as a Character Day or Story Sleepover?

Read for RNIB Day is Friday 11 October 2013, but just pick a date in October that suits you best. Enjoy a time that will unite children, teachers and parents in making reading fun, while helping other children who can't read the same books. Register today!

Prizes to be won!

Schools taking part have a chance to win a visit from author Darren Shan or a year's supply of Walker children's books.

Keep 20 per cent of money you raise

You also have the option to keep 20 per cent of any money raised by your school. So Read for RNIB Day can benefit not only blind and partially sighted children but your school too. Perhaps treat your library to the latest award winning books! For more information, read our terms and conditions for schools.
