BPS Fund to support volunteers

We are committed to ensuring that, whenever necessary, reasonable adjustments are made to volunteering opportunities to remove barriers which may prevent any disabled volunteer from carrying out a role.

As a manager you should always allocate funding within your budget to cover the costs of reasonable adjustments. However, we realise that not every team or service budget within RNIB Group includes the costing for reasonable adjustments, so the Blind and Partially Sighted Volunteers' Fund (BPS fund) exists to help managers in the short to medium term with the cost of adjustments specifically for BPS volunteers.

This may include specialist equipment, transport costs, changes/adaptations to the environment, support volunteers who assist blind and partially sighted volunteers (e.g. by driving or reading for the volunteer) and other adjustments.

If you would like to apply to the fund, then please complete the application form including how you meet the criteria and return to volunteering@rnib.org.uk
