Children and Young People Support - Residentials - Burnley

Action for Blind People are looking for volunteers to provide support to children and young people with a visual impairment, on our residentials. The residentials are an opportunity for 8-17 year olds to experience new and exciting activities, make new friends and enjoy a break away from home. We require volunteers to support the children and young people throughout the week and help the staff host a fun, safe and memorable experience. We are currently looking for a male volunteer to assist with an all-boy Activities residential on Sat 3rd - Wed 7th Aug in Burnley, Lancashire with 8-11yr olds. Opportunity available in Burnley, Lancashire.

Resource Centre Volunteer

The Action for Blind People Resource Centre (part of the RNIB Group) needs enthusiastic and friendly volunteers to greet our visitors, provide assistance in the administration and the general day to day running of our resource centre. Opportunity available in Liverpool.

Volunteer Befriender

Are you friendly and reliable, with some time to spare? Would you enjoy meeting new people in your local area? We are looking for volunteer befrienders to provide a supportive, reliable relationship to people who may otherwise be socially isolated, as part of the befriending service offered by Leeds Vision Consortium. A Volunteer Befriender will meet with a client on a regular basis, for a chat, to help with small tasks such as reading mail, or to help them get out and about. Opportunity available within the Leeds area.

Travel Support Volunteer - Loughborough area Travel Project

Would you like to be part of our exciting new travel pilot in your area? We are looking for volunteers who would like to support blind and partially sighted people in their community to discover ways to travel confidently and independently. Opportunity available in the Loughborough area

Travel Support Volunteer - Liverpool area Travel Volunteering Project

Would you like to be part of our exciting new travel pilot in your area? We are looking for volunteers who would like to support blind and partially sighted people in their community to discover ways to travel confidently and independently. A Travel Support Volunteer will help a blind or partially sighted person to plan, choose and arrange journeys using public transport; and accompany him or her to help familiarise them with their chosen journey. Full training is provided; volunteers will travel within the Liverpool area.

Peer Support Volunteer - Staffordshire

We are looking for volunteers to share their personal experiences and provide information on support and services available to older people who have been recently diagnosed with sight loss. Opportunity available in Staffordshire

Peer Buddy Volunteer - Staffordshire

We are looking for friendly and caring volunteers who can help older people manage the challenges of everyday activities by sharing experiences and providing advice on services that can help them. Opportunity available across Staffordshire

Telephone Advice Volunteer

We need volunteers with a friendly telephone manner to help us reach older people at risk of sight loss. You will provide advice and information on local opticians, support and services available to people who have been referred to us because they are at risk of losing their sight. Local Campaigns Volunteer - Staffordshire

As part of our Big Lottery Funded Older People Taking Control Project, we need volunteers to work with local partners and RNIB's regional campaigns team to maximise the influence of voices in regional and national campaigns. Opportunity available in Staffordshire
