Are you organised and enthusiastic with excellent administration skills? We are looking for a volunteer to support our Eye Clinic staff in West Suffolk hospital.
Our role is to ensure that those who attend eye clinics have instant access to targeted relevant advice and support. We need your administrative support to help us deliver this service.

This role is subject to a CRB check.

What will I be doing?

  • To help the team to provide information and advice to blind and partially sighted people

  • General administration, including word processing, photocopying, and faxing
  • Helping the team to keep information and databases up to date
  • Answering the telephone, dealing with written and e-mail enquiries.

What skills and qualities can I bring to this role?

  • Experience of using Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook

  • Willing to communicate over the phone, in person or by email
  • Comfortable in an office setting
  • Good organisation skills and reliability
  • Confident to complete tasks with little supervision
  • Good interpersonal skills, and ability to build relationships

When will I be needed?

We are looking for 2 sessions of 2 - 3 hours per week, on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday afternoons. We will be as flexible as possible to fit around your needs.
