The Action for Blind People Resource Centre needs enthusiastic and friendly volunteers to greet our visitors, provide assistance in the administration and the general day to day running of our resource centre.
We are looking for a volunteer to help our Merseyside & Cheshire team in the Liverpool office. Your administration skills, friendly telephone manner and passion will enable us to support blind and partially sighted people in the best possible way.
Do you have a passion for the unlimited possibilities that technology can bring? Would you like to open up a world of opportunities for blind and partially sighted people? We need more volunteers who understand and can help blind and partially sighted people make better use of technology in their homes and lead more independent lives. This may include programming a new mobile phone or demonstrating audio description equipment. Opportunity available across the North West.
Would you like to use your expertise to help blind and partially sighted people to resolve IT problems? We are looking for IT specialists to join our 'Technology Support Squad' - a national team of volunteers helping blind and partially sighted people to support their independence. Opportunity available across the North West.
This role will require you, one day per week, to visit local shops, churches, community centres and libraries or other outlets where we would be permitted to display posters and leaflets. Opportunity available Nationwide
This is a unique opportunity to work with blind and partially sighted children, young people and their families. You will be assisting with a range of CYF activities and events including sports, music, visits to attractions and crafts, supporting both the group and individuals as required. Opportunity available in Liverpool and Blackburn.
