Find a home for Sooty and make a difference in your local community, by giving our iconic Sooty collecting box the best spot in the house.
Did you know that £700,000 was raised from loose change last year? This helped produce 1.6million talking books be delivered to 40,000 blind and partially sighted people and over 2,000 new books to be transcribed to our library.
This role does not require a DBS check.
What will I be doing?

Using our database you will identify locations for Sooty collection boxes.

You will visit new locations, talk to the shop owners, managers and landlords etc and negotiate the best spot in the house for Sooty.

Accurately record details of new locations and feedback to the fundraising manager (FM).

Regularly review database for potential new locations.
What skills and qualities can I bring to this role?

Good communication skills.
-
A full driving licence with use of own car would be an advantage but not essential.

Good knowledge of the local area.

An interest in market research would be helpful.

Friendly, confident and outgoing.

To be able to encourage support for blind and partially sighted people by promoting the value of Sooty.

To use your own initiative and feel happy working on your own whilst knowing you are part of a team.
When will I be needed?
We can be flexible around your availablity although we will require a regular monthly commitment.
Location
Areas local to you, however willingness to travel on occasion would be helpful.
