Make a difference in your local community, by supporting and expanding our already successful team of dedicated fundraising volunteers.
Did you know that £700,000 was raised from loose change last year? This helped produce 14,000 titles for talking books, facilitate 102 weekly telephone befriending social groups for blind and partially sighted people and fund our campaigns which recently enabled 1,500 campaigners lobby parliament.
This role does not require a DBS check.
What will I be doing?

Working alongside your local Fundraising Manager (FM)
or Community Fundraising Executive (CFE) you will be the first point of contact to support your local volunteering team.

Design, develop and deliver an action plan for your area with your FM or CFE including recruiting, inducting, training and motivating volunteers.

Investigate new venues for Sooty and future opportunities for community fundraising.
What skills and qualities can I bring to this role?

Good communication skills, spoken and written.

Basic IT and record keeping skills with access to a PC and internet.

Full driving licence with use of own car (alternative arrangements can be made for visually impaired people).

Good knowledge of the local area.

Friendly, confident and outgoing.

Good organisational skills.

A positive and inspirational attitude with a 'can do' approach.

When will I be needed?
We would like you to volunteer for roughly 8 days each month. The days and times are
flexible to suit you and can be weekdays, evenings or weekends.
Location
Areas local to you, however a willingness to travel on occasions would be helpful.
