We require drivers to take our blind and partially sighted residents out on trips these may be shopping trips locally or day trips further a field.
Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme (MiDAS) training will be available if required.
This role requires an Enhanced DBS Check.
What will I be doing?
Driving the RNIB mini bus as and when required. Assisting residents in and out of mini bus if required
What skills can I bring to this role?

Clean and full driving licence (D1 licence)

MiDAS training certificate (provided by RNIB)

Aged 21+

Good communication skills
What qualities do I need?
You should be friendly, outgoing, patient, and confident, with a natural empathy for blind or partially sighted people, some of whom have additional disabilities.
When will I be needed?
Flexible, as and when needed.

Location and distance of trips will vary departing and returning to Kathleen Chambers House, 97 Berrow Road, Burnham-on-Sea, TA8 2PG
