The role may involve driving clients to services or drive blind or partially sighted volunteers to enable them to carry out their volunteer role.
This role will not require a DBS check.
What will I be doing?

Driving blind and partially sighted volunteers to and from their volunteer activity. They may be based in RNIB centres or in client's home. In some cases this may require waiting for the volunteer while they carry out their volunteer role in a client's home.

Some blind and partially sighted volunteers may have a guide dog, which you may also have to transport.

You must have a full driving licence and own a suitable vehicle that has an MOT certificate if appropriate. You must also have complete insurance cover for your volunteering.

When will I be needed?
Hours will vary depending on the volunteer or client you drive for. This may be as little as once a month up to a few times a week. There may be some flexibility about the hours required for you to drive.
