This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to help oversee the development of new and existing volunteer projects. Contributing towards a diverse range of projects and activities this role may include everything from reviewing processes, initiating new volunteer schemes or supporting current volunteers depending on your individual skills and preferences.

This role does NOT require a CRB check

What will I be doing?

  • This varied role may include activities such as:

  • Supporting internal staff and volunteers
  • Liaising with outside sources, as part of specific projects
  • Offering support and guidance to groups within your assigned projects
  • Helping to fill volunteer vacancies relating to current schemes and needs

What skills and qualities can I bring to this role?

  • Good organisational skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Approachable, enthusiastic and reliable
  • A polite telephone manner
  • The ability to organise groups of people or other individuals
  • Confident using a computer
  • Experience of project management or coordination would be an advantage

When will I be needed?

Up to 8 hours per week, flexible during office hours, though hours will be varied depending on current workload and your availability.

  • Expenses - all out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed including expenses to attend training
  • Supervision and support from your volunteer manager/ co-ordinator
  • Project management and time management training will be provided
