Volunteers are needed to offer practical help to our blind and partially sighted young people and to encourage and support them to get involved in activities and outings. Are you patient and friendly with good communication skills? We are looking for volunteers to offer practical support within a group setting to older people with sight loss and dual sensory loss. The "SOS" group meet once a fortnight as a social group, and is supported by Leeds Vision Consortium (LVC). Your help will enable group members to fully participate and interact in the group activities. Opportunity available in Leeds.

Volunteering for the Campaigns team, as a coordinator you will be the main RNIB contact in your local area for groups or individuals wanting to campaign for better services for blind and partially sighted people.

We are looking for volunteer befrienders to provide a supportive, reliable relationship to people who may otherwise be socially isolated, as part of the befriending service offered by Leeds Vision Consortium. A Volunteer Befriender will meet with a client on a regular basis, for a chat, to help with small tasks such as reading mail, or to help them get out and about. Are you looking to gain or develop your administration skills? Leeds Vision Consortium (LVC) are looking for a volunteer to provide administrative support to our Eye Clinic Liaison Officers. This will help us to support people who have just been diagnosed with sight loss, at the time they need it most. Opportunity available in Leeds.

We need volunteers to spend time talking and listening to our residents to enable them to choose what they want to eat at mealtimes. RNIB Tate house provides comprehensive services to blind and partially sighted people within a care home environment. Opportunity available in Harrogate.
