Local Fundraising Group Organiser or Secretary

Are you reliable and innovative with good organisational and admin skills? If you love meeting new people, organising events and publicity we need you to join and support one of our Fundraising Groups. We can offer you the chance of being part of a team that raises funds to help and support blind and partially sighted children and adults.

No DBS Check will be required for this role.

What will I be doing?

  • Attending Fundraising Group meetings.

  • Dealing with correspondence on behalf of the Fundraising Group.
  • Organising meetings and communicating with group members.
  • Ensuring the availability of necessary documents or background information for meetings.
  • Taking notes at meetings and distributing to group members.

What skills and qualities can I bring to this role?

  • Willingness to work as part of a team.

  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
  • IT skills and access to a PC.

When will I be needed?

You will need to attend fundraising group meetings and activities.
Timings and frequency to be decided by your group.

How much time will I need to commit?

Flexible, according to your availability and the Fundraising Group's needs, but approximately two to three hours a week.

  • Induction.
  • Understanding Sight Loss Pack.
  • Expenses - all out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed including expenses to attend training.
  • Supervision and support from your Community Fundraiser.
