Blind and partially sighted people gain independence, confidence and support from our social activity volunteers. Would you like to help with a variety of activities at group meetings and events? We are looking for warm, encouraging and caring people who can help turn a life of isolation to a life of inclusion.

An Access NI check is required for this role.

What will I be doing?

  • Acting as a sighted guide at various activities, group meetings and events
  • Assisting RNIB staff and fellow volunteers to provide refreshments to attendees
  • Advising blind and partially sighted people about a range of RNIB products and services which may benefit them

When will I be needed?

Thursday evenings from 7pm to 9pm

North Belfast - Woodlands Day Centre BT14 6BY

What support will I be given?

  • Induction
  • Understanding Sight Loss Pack
  • Visual Awareness Training
  • Expenses - all out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed including expenses to attend training
  • Supervision and support from your volunteer manager.
